Unusual Voyages is a solo project but made up of many stories, many people and many places.
Graduated in Photography and with a postgraduate degree in Anthropology, Tânia Neves has always liked to know the world through her stories. Impatience – her greatest weakness – added to endless curiosity for things, caused her to launch herself into unusual voyages. A place is more than its political leader, more than a name.
It was in less touristy places and with less favorable reputation that she encountered the greatest hospitality. She began working as a documentary photographer and in 2016 she started leading small expeditions to these places that fascinated her so much, thus having the privilege of sharing these little secrets with curious travelers. (Dis)organized trips that aim to make life known as it is, beyond news, marketing and influencers.
Tania leads us through both medinas and steppes, mapping cultures from the hills of Lisbon to the avenues of Pyongyang, crossing deserts and ascending to the summits of the highest mountains in the world. Born in Portugal, Tânia has lived in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Cambodia. He spends much of the year in Morocco and Mongolia. She has lived in a campervan, and has toured Indochina by motorbike. She knows all the regions of Russia and China.
Unusual Voyages is the passport so that others can also come to live these stories, escaping from the ordinary destinations, for the extraordinary voyages.
