Join us on our North Korean tour as we explore one of me most mysterious countries in the world.
Welcome to Beijing!
Depending on the time of day we will suggest some activities for the day, but the best thing is to take it easy and take the opportunity to recover from a possible jetlag.

Drive to the coastal city of Wonsan on the East Coast – unique opportunity to be driven through second tier cities and counties as you literally cruise across the DPRK, from one side of the country to the other. We will have a short break on the way, for a chance to try some snake liquor!
In the afternoon we will walk around Wonsan City. The square tends to be very lively with children roller skating, families walking together and then by the port there are always people fishing. We will also go to Jangdok Islet, just opposite the “mainland”, for full views of the port area and the frontline of Wonsan.

Drive to Hamhung City – explore the DPRK’s second largest city, open to Western tourists since 2010, making it super off the beaten track. Afterwards we will visit Mount Donghung, with its killer view of Hamhung City and a huge bronze statue of President Kim Il Sung. It’s a hotspot for lovebirds paying respects.
After lunch at City Restaurant (famous for its potato starch noodles), we will visit Hamhung’s Grand Theatre, a massive theatre in the city center, a rarity for tourists, so expect some surprised locals. Planned is also a visit to Ri Song-gye’s Home (who founded the Choson Dynasty) and Hungnam Fertiliser Factory (one of the country’s biggest factories).
Our accommodation will be at Majon Cottage – cozy beachside cottages. We can take a chill seaside walk before dinner (locals might even join us!). Dinner is at Majon Cottage, with a tasty clam BBQ option.

At Chonsam Cooperative Farm we will see farmers’ homes, the fields and visit the kindergarten that their children attend (also located within the premises of the cooperative farm). This is an interesting aspect of DPRK tours as it allows travellers see different aspects of the country. On the drive back to Wonsan we will visit Wonsan’s Agricultural University.
Then we will drive back to Pyongyang and hopefully visit the Ullim Waterfalls on the way (weather permitting). Already in Pyonyang, we will visit the Grand People’s Study House – huge study centre/library with excellent views of Kim Il Sung Square.

We will also visit the Tae’an glass factory.
At the end of the day we arrive at Kaesong, ancient capital at the time of the Koryo Dynasty 918-1392 BC, next to what is now known as the “Demilitarized Zone” – DMZ.
